Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Module 1: Load Safety and Driver Hours is a course designed for professional truck and bus drivers. The module covers the essential knowledge and skills required to safely and legally transport loads and manage driver hours.
In this course, participants will learn about the relevant regulations and guidelines for load safety and driver hours, including the EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive. They will also learn how to plan and prepare for a journey, including how to assess the weight and balance of a load and ensure it is secured properly.
Participants will also learn about the importance of managing driver hours and fatigue, including how to plan breaks and rest periods, and how to use tachographs to record driving and rest times.
The course will be delivered through a combination of lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises, and will be assessed through a written test at the end. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a CPC Module 1 certificate, which is required for professional drivers in the EU.
